Rapper Lil Wayne will make his way to Little Caesars Arena on Aug. 23 for his biggest Detroit headlining show in years.

The multiplatinum singer had been scheduled to headline the opening celebrations Saturday night at Nationals Park.

The May 31 performance at Nats Park has been canceled over “complications” with Shakira's previous show in Boston, leading to delays in bringing the tour to Washington D.C.
