The South Bend Police Department is partnering with local businesses to put on the 2025 School's Out Cookout at Kennedy Park on June 20.

At a ceremony Tuesday afternoon, Mayor James Mueller declared the renaming of Friendship Park owned by Mutual Homes in honor of Bernice Freeman.
