The City Council on Wednesday approved the landmark designation for the Pilsen church’s sanctuary but not other buildings on the site. A non-denominational church is interested in the property.

The Will County Board granted landmark status to the 110-year-old St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, the county’s 61st designation.
