Doctor Who season two’s finale was quite the doozy. The Fifteenth Doctor was up against seemingly insurmountable odds as the Ranis were trying to bring back Omega so they could create a new Time Lord race.

After 2 seasons as the Fifteenth Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa is leaving the TARDIS behind, seemingly handing over the keys to a familiar face in Billie Piper.

Welcome back to Doctor Who, Billie Piper! The British sci-fi series just shocked fans when, in the Season 2 finale, Ncuti Gatwa ‘s Doctor regenerated — and the Sixteenth Doctor appears to be played by none other than Piper!

David Tennant's Doctor always felt the most human, and so he was the perfect incarnation to realise Paul Cornell's acclaimed novel as a TV episode. His performance as John Smith is brilliant, celebrating everything that the Tenth Doctor is by showing everything he isn't - slighlty cruel, slightly cowardly.

The Rani recently returned to Doctor Who, but fans may not be aware that David Tennant's 10th Doctor also had a run-in with the evil Time Lady.

Most notably, the end credits, which usually read, “Introducing [Actor] as The Doctor,” were different. It only said, “Introducing Billie Piper.” She has yet to be credited as The Doctor — and not just there. The statements from Piper and showrunner Russell T Davies are carefully worded as well.
