Tutor Perini has won a $1.87bn contract to construct the Staging and Storage Facility and Ramp Structure components of the Midtown Bus Terminal Redevelopment Program in New York City.

The facility is part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $10-billion Midtown Bus Terminal Redevelopment Program.

The area, currently designated for manufacturing, is home to buildings designed for a fading garment industry. But apartments could bloom there.
