Crowds gathered along Franklin Road in Roanoke Thursday for a May Day rally protesting Trump administration policies.

The Richmond rally was organized by 50501VA, an independent wing of the "50 Protest, 50 States, 1 Movement" grassroots campaign that sprouted after President Donald Trump's second term began.
