Don’t forget to wear something red today! Even the Terminal Tower in downtown Cleveland is illuminated in red.That’s because the first Friday in February is known as National Wear Red Day, which is used to “raise awareness and education around women’s heart health as part of the American Heart Association’s American Heart Month celebration.

The Pittsburgh skyline will also light up red Friday night, including the Highmark spire and building, City-County Building, UPMC, the Gulf Tower, Acrisure Stadium and more.

Go Red for Women is a national effort to advocate for women's health. Leaders with the American Heart Association said red was chosen simply because it's hard to ignore. They said drawing attention and sharing education is necessary to create change. This includes knowing the risks.
