Britain and the European Union have hailed a new chapter in their relationship. They have signed fresh agreements on defense cooperation and easing trade flows at their first formal summit since Brexit.

Expect talk of haggling, fish, cash and courts as the summit risks inflaming old Brexit rows.

The deal contains political risk for Britain's Keir Starmer as it touches on sensitive issues including fishing rights, and many of the agreements will require further negotiation.
