With the NFL recently allowing its players to play in the upcoming Olympic flag football games, the staff here began thinking about what an All-ACC Flag Football team might look like.

The latest news from the league meetings include a vote for NFL players at the Olympics, a vote against banning the “tush push” and a halftime show teaser.

Harrison saw its eight-game winning streaked ended by a 14-13 loss to Secaucus in the NJIC Tournament. Harrison had defeated Secaucus 31-7 two days earlier ended its six-game unbeaten streak. Middletown South dropped its first game, 6-0, to upstart Pinelands in the Shore Cinference Tournament semifinals.

Harford Community College will hosting a free clinic and open tryout for its women’s flag football program from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Harford Sports Complex. The clinic is open to girls ages 12 and older and doesn’t require any experience to participate.

Taylor Jones, a freshman at Newark Central High School, was the first flag football player in New Jersey to to pass and run for over 1,000 yards each.
