Michaela Edenfield hit a two-run home run in the first inning, pinch-hitter Shelby McKenzie added a solo shot in the fifth and Ashtyn Danley pitched five scoreless innings to help Florida State beat Auburn 4-0 and win the Tallahassee Regional.

Florida State softball turned a triple play against Auburn in the Tallahassee Regional of the 2025 NCAA Softball Tournament.

SJ Geurin tossed 10 of 13 innings. She allowed just six hits to hold Florida State to a .170 average at the plate. She struck out five on Sunday.

Auburn softball series with Florida State extends to a game seven after defeating the Seminoles 8-3 in game one of the Tallahassee Region Final. The Tigers scored zero runs in the winner take all game. The Seminoles scored off of a home run on the second pitch of the game from Issa Torres to take an early 1-0 lead.

It was the Seminoles defense that allowed them to advance against the Tigers. Florida State’s infielders refused to be beat on multiple occasions. They turned a triple play in the fourth inning and escaped a bases-loaded jam in the fifth after a great defensive play by Isa Torres.

Auburn baseball may have dropped its final conference series at Ole Miss over the weekend, but it is still in a great spot to host a regional, according to the latest projections from D1Baseball ahead of this week's SEC Tournament in Hoover.

Auburn softball is two wins away from winning the Tallahassee regional after beating South Florida in the second elimination game of the day. It avenged the Tigers’ loss to USF in the regional opener, a game Auburn lost 12-7 in extra innings. Auburn won the rematch in extra innings, beating the Bulls 7-5.
