The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is received by simple faith in Christ. The Baptism follows automatically, positioning us in Christ and cementing us securely into the family of God.

The baptism in the Holy Ghost is an immersion, infilling, enduement, empowering, outpouring, energising saturation with the Holy Spirit. No one can be baptised in the Holy Spirit and remain the same.

This is very consequential as an invalid baptism invalidates any subsequent sacrament, including confirmation, marriage and holy orders.

By virtue of our Baptism, the first sacrament of the faith, the Holy Spirit in the Church communicates to us, intimately and personally, the life that originates in the Father and the Son.
