U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened a 25% tariff on Apple as the company continues to invest in production in India, despite Tim Cook's U.S. investments.
It's just saying, ‘I think we can squeeze a little bit more out of you,’” Morningstar technology analyst William Kerwin told Fortune.
The investment comes amid heightened political rhetoric from US President Donald Trump, who said in Doha that Apple should manufacture products for the US market within America, not India.
Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that for the June quarter, most iPhones sold in the US will be manufactured in India.
