Jake Garcia, previously at Eastern Carolina with stops before that at University of Miami Florida and Missouri, has committed to the Wolverines, the program announced on social media on Monday, June 16. Garcia took a visit to Ann Arbor earlier in June, which many felt was a signal that Michigan was seeking veteran reinforcements in the room.

With summer workouts in high gear, Michigan football is not done adding to its 2025 roster. And this time, the Wolverines are bringing in another quarterback. Veteran signal caller Jake Garica, a fifth-year graduate student who made six starts at East Carolina last season, signed with Michigan on Monday, the program announced.

Michigan has added well-traveled quarterback transfer Jake Garcia, a former top 25 recruit who has spent time at three other programs, as the team tries to build depth around decorated freshman Bryce Underwood.
