The New York Mets entered the MLB offseason with renewed optimism after finishing with an 89-73 record and advancing to the National League Championship Series (NLCS) with playoff wins over the Milwaukee Brewers and Philadelphia Phillies.

Much of the weekend revolved around the World Series rematch with the Yankees visiting the Dodgers. We didn't get a walk-off grand slam or anything, but there was entertaining baseball and a Dodgers series win.

As the calendar flips to June and teams across baseball have roughly 60 games under their belts, the MLB landscape is starting to take shape and the line between contenders and also-rans is becoming more defined.
