It may not be surprising to see someone wearing red but there's an extra meaning behind people wearing that color Friday. The first Friday of February every year is National Wear Red Day, a holiday that aims to raise awareness about women's heart health.

Feb. 7 is National Wear Red Day to raise awareness for how heart disease is the leading cause of death for women.
