After a decade-long fight with the SEC, Brazil-based JBS is now publicly listed in America, despite the history of corruption by its billionaire board directors Joesley and Wesley Batista.

Shares of the Brazilian meatpacking titan JBS began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Friday morning. The shares made their debut under ticker JBS at $13.65, capping a two-year slog through regulatory filings,

Trading in New York is a long-held goal for JBS, which was founded 72 years ago and is now one of the world's largest meat companies. Half of its annual revenue comes from the U.S., where it has more than 72,000 employees. JBS is America’s top beef producer and its second-largest producer of poultry and pork.
