Hunter Greene was scheduled to throw a maximum of 80 pitches in what was his return appearance from the 15-day injured list, but he was still on pace to get through five innings until Chicago's Nico Hoerner worked a 12-pitch at-bat in the fourth inning.

Pete Crow-Armstrong had two home runs — including a go-ahead grand slam in the seventh inning — and drove in six runs as the Chicago Cubs rallied for a 13-6 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

Hoerner recorded the first hit off Greene in the third with a softly hit double to left, but Greene retired the next batter and struck out Ian Happ to end the inning. Greene averaged 100 mph on his 48 four-seam fastballs and looked sharp until the two walks in the fourth.
