Now that his $265 million contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers is officially signed, Brock Purdy revealed the advice he received from several of his teammates about the process of going into a negotiation for the first time.

The first year of Purdy's starting career, 2023, proved his tremendous upside. Not only did the Iowa State product guide the 49ers to Super Bowl LVIII, but he also did so as one of the most productive offensive players in the league. He paced the NFL in yards per attempt, touchdown rate and QBR and finished fourth in MVP voting.

ESPN's Kevin Clark had a good reason for calling San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy one of the five best QBs in the NFL.
