SEC Media Days continued on Tuesday with four College Football Playoff hopefuls headlining the event. Texas and Georgia competed in the SEC Championship Game last season, while Tennessee and Auburn believe they have the rosters to make an appearance in Atlanta this year.

Taaffe called the counselors at Camp Mystic “heroes” and wore a tie to honor them and the young girls who died during the Central Texas flood.

Fifth-year Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel took part in SEC media days on Tuesday. He discussed the Vols' upcoming season from the main stage. Heupel ended his opening statement discussing Tennessee's quarterback competition in fall training camp between Joey Aguilar, Jake Merklinger and George MacIntyre.

The Texas quarterback, of course, knew he would be in the limelight. The nephew of NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning got a piece of advice from his grandfather, former NFL quarterback Archie Manning, ahead of his meeting with the media.
