These three questions will shape the Texas baseball offseason after the Longhorns were ousted from the NCAA Tournament on Sunday.

Unseeded UTSA is moving on to the super regional round of the NCAA baseball tournament after knocking off No. 2 seed Texas in the Austin Regional.

The 2025 NCAA baseball tournament marks the first time that the Longhorns are hosting a regional since 2022. Texas, the No. 9 national seed that season, rolled through the Austin Regional in 2022 with two commanding wins over Air Force and a 5-2 win over Louisiana Tech.

UTSA eliminated Texas baseball Sunday night, collecting a 7-4 win to earn a spot in the NCAA Super Regional round.

The Longhorns have dominated when hosting, owning an 87-22 mark in regional games held in Austin. Texas has strong postseason history, making 38 appearances in the College World Series. To add to their CWS list, the Longhorns will have to advance past their regionals and super regionals.

The Longhorns' month-long slump continued as Texas has lost eight of last 13 games and must win three in a row to advance to super regional.

The No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, Texas baseball has now won 13 straight regional games at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

UCLA dominated UTSA on Sunday to advance to its first College World Series since winning the championship in 2013.
