A new round of trade negotiations between the United States and China is set to begin Monday in London as both sides try to preserve a fragile truce brokered last month.

The talks in London come just a few days after US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping held their first publicly announced telephone talks since the Republican returned to the White House.

U.S.-China trade talks in London will focus on bridging the trade divisions, but analysts say a limited accord is the best that can be expected.
