Two proposals are now officially in the hands of the City Council and the community, submitted by ClearPath and The Blue at Vero Beach.

"Just as the Vero Beach power plant provided energy to the Vero Beach community for nearly 70 years, its rebirth as Big Blue at Three Corners will be a source of energy for the community and its visitors," the company said in its proposal, referring as the former power plant by its "Big Blue" nickname.

This is the second round of bidding for what the city calls, "the most valuable public waterfront property on Florida's East Coast."
