Poor Freeview Reception on HD channels - AVForums
Sep 20, 2020 · Freeview reception dropping out on HD channels, pixelating and unable to record programmes. I thought I’d share a problem and its resolution… For 3 months or more I tried to find out why all the HD channels were flaky and kept pixelating and going to a blank screen for 5 seconds or so and then coming back.
Freeview HD or Freesat HD - What's the difference? - AVForums
Oct 20, 2014 · Freeview HD For those that aren’t familiar with Freeview (and we can’t imagine that’s many of you), it's a TV service delivered over the air via your rooftop or in-home aerial. As the name would suggest, it’s free to watch and with the backing of such major players as the BBC, ITV, Sky and Channel 4, it delivers most of the popular ...
Question - No sound from Freeview HD Channels | AVForums
Jan 30, 2005 · 101+ are HD DVB-T2 channels. Your soundbar, it appears, can't understand Dolby Digital which the TV should transcode the broadcast HE-AAC sound to. Set TV's optical / ARC out to be PCM/stereo rather than surround or even auto. That should fix that. Check the HD channels' sound works using the TV speakers, of course, before doing that.
Freeview vs Freesat for quality on HD channels - which is best?
May 2, 2002 · Freeview HD also has a clever bit-reduction feature (25p in a 50i wrapper) that is not available to satellite (at least so far - adoption would render many receivers obsolete!). That means the quality will be as good at slightly lower bitrates. The Freeview HD audio system also shaves some bitrate off cf satellite.
Panasonic DMR-PWT530EB Blu-ray / Freeview HD Recorder Review
Aug 16, 2013 · The DMR-PWT530 looks almost identical to just about every other Blu-ray player/PVR combi unit Panasonic has released over the last few years so carries the air of being functional and hard-wearing. The front panel features the Panasonic logo, to the centre, with the Blu-ray and Freeview HD logos either side.
Freeview HD - sound but no picture! tx55jz1500b - AVForums
Jul 7, 2022 · Hi, Can anyone offer some suggestions here, please? I have a Panasonic tx55jz1500b, a few months old. Haven’t used it for OTA tv till now. Been through the auto tune process. I can get freeview fine, lots of channels. But the HD channels have sound, subtitles, but no pictures. Signal...
Freeview HD. 1080p? - AVForums
May 19, 2010 · Freeview HD can be obtained with a one off payment of between £100 - £150 so is significantly cheaper. Admittedly you're not getting the choice but I rarely watch TV so Sky wouldn't be something I want or need. However, I would like to watch HD TV shows on the BBC and ITV (and C4) so Freeview HD makes perfect sense to me.
Can't receive Freeview HD channels - AVForums
Jan 2, 2015 · I’m hoping someone might be able to solve the problem of why I can’t receive any freeview HD channels via my roof aerial. We moved to a new house in March and bought a cheap Bush Freeview HD PVR box to go with our old TV. We had to use a signal booster to get a decent picture, but as long as we did this we’d be able to get most HD channels.
Freeview - Lost HD Channels 101 - 105 | AVForums
Jul 10, 2005 · I have an LG B9 OLED TV and had Freeview tuned in since I bought it in August 2019, including the HD channels: BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 which are channels 101 to 105. However, about two weeks ago I noticed that the Quick Access on the remote was missing these channels from the 1 to 5 buttons.
TV has problems with Freeview HD Channels "No Signal" - used
Aug 27, 2023 · At the beginning everything was fine, Channels were working well, Freeview HD Channels included (101, 102 etc) although I never watched TV much. Over time as I realised that whenever I was watching HD, it would slowly become more grainy and crackling and go to "No signal" and then come back, and back and forth.
