Focused on providing a Catholic Academic Education to the students, Notre Dame High School has grown substantially over the past few years to a population of over 2000 students! The School Council has provided strong support to the school community through volunteering.

School History. Notre Dame was opened on September 12, 2005 to grade 10 and 11 students. In 2012 ND underwent a major renovation and expansion, adding more classrooms and programs for students. Currently ND has over 1700 students and continues to grow. School Logo

Programs. We offer a well-rounded, faith-based education in a caring, inclusive and nurturing community to meet each student’s unique needs. In addition to core curriculum programming mandated by Alberta Education, we are pleased to offer our students a variety of supplementary courses, options and services in collaboration with our many community partners.

Diploma and School Exams. The Grade 12 Diploma Examinations Program, established in 1984, has three main purposes: to certify the level of individual student achievement in selected Grade 12 courses; to ensure that province-wide standards of achievement are maintained; to report individual and group results.

Hockey Canada supplies resources and training to our teachers which gives students an advantage as they develop their hockey skills. Students have on ice training three times per week, one dryland fitness training class and one classroom hockey theory session.

Notre Dame High School participates in the Calgary Senior High School Athletics Association. The CSHSAA is comprised of CBE and CCSD schools and is divided into 3 divisions based on school population and/or level of competition. Schools play …

Dr. Schneider is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, including an Alberta Arts Foundation Study Grant, the Peabody Conservatory Carol Jean and John R. Young Conducting Scholarship, and the Medal of the Governor General of Canada.
