Stay-Silv® 5 is a medium-range alloy that is well suited where close fit-up cannot be maintained. This filler metal is somewhat more ductile than Harris® 0 or Stay-Silv® 2. A frequent choice for brazing copper as it is self-fluxing.

Stay-Silv® 15 has proven its value for many years as it has been considered the industry's standard 15% silver alloy. This filler metal is excellent for situations where close fit-up does not exist and where thermal expansion and service vibration are involved.

Harris® Stay-Silv® 15 phos-copper brazing alloy filler metal .050 x 1/8 flat x 20 long rod 28-stick tube is the industry standard for air conditioning/refrigeration applications. Stay-Silv® 15 can also braze copper-to-copper and copper-to-brass with an appropriate brazing flux.

STAY-SILV® white brazing flux is an all-purpose, low-temperature flux for use in silver brazing. It is formulated to provide smooth flux application, even coverage and excellent protection during braze heating cycles.

Stay Silv 5 is often chosen as an economical alternative to higher silver content alloys for copper and brass applications. Stay Silv 5 is not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous base metals. In these applications the phosphorus content promotes formation of a low ductility intermetallic with the base metal.

STAY-SILV WHITE BRAZING FLUX This is a white paste flux that’s used for 90% of silver brazing applications. White flux is useful for brazing copper, brass, steel, stainless steel and nickel alloys. It has an active temperature range of 1050° -1600°F (565° – 870°C).
