Anderson served on the men’s basketball staff at DePaul University for four seasons from 2017-2021 where he worked closely with Miami Heat Max Strus and Philadelphia 76ers Paul Reed among other DePaul players.

Following graduation in May 2006, he was associate head coach at OPSU for one season before returning to Chicago as an assistant coach at Malcolm X College. Tim Anderson concluded his third season on the DePaul staff as an assistant coach in 2019-20 after the Chicago native joined the program in August 2017.
