Watauga Community Recreation Center is OPEN. The hours are M-F 6am - 8pm, Sat 8am - 8pm, & Sunday Noon until 5. Pool hours vary check below in links for schedules.

The Watauga Community Recreation Center is a state-of-the-art Recreation Center that was open in 2021. The WCRC features four indoor basketball courts, two swimming pools, weight room and workout facilities, a suspended indoor track, childcare services and more!

The public can enjoy the following facilities which are located throughout Watauga County: a gym, a community clubhouse, 26 multi-purpose athletic fields, 3 parks, tennis courts, basketball courts, 8 picnic shelters, and the new Watauga Community Recreation Center in Boone.

The Watauga Community Recreation Center offers swim lessons in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. The WCRC offers Youth, Parent/Infant, Parent/Toddler and Adult Swim Lessons. The registration forms are available online, at the Watauga Community Recreation Center.

The recreation center features a wide variety of spaces, including a six-lane competition pool and leisure pool, four full-size gymnasiums, a multipurpose studio, events classroom, fitness center with weight and exercise rooms, two birthday party rooms, and a suspended track.

Mar 31, 2021 · Watauga County Parks & Recreation has announced that tours of the new Watauga Community Recreation Center are available starting April 1, 2021. The tours take place at 10 am and 2 pm and are limited to 20 people per group.

The Watauga County Parks and Recreation Department offers over 50 different fitness group options each week, individualized training in a group setting, and one-on-one or small group personal training. Oct 14, 2024 · Through Oct 20, the rec center is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. All indoor programming, including fitness classes, swim lessons, childcare and pickleball clinics will return as well.
