Simsbury is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States, incorporated as Connecticut's 21st town in May 1670. [1] The town is part of the Capitol Planning Region. The population was 24,517 in the 2020 census. [2]

Established in 1911, the Simsbury Historical Society continues its stewardship of Simsbury’s past, present, and future. It acquired its current site and permanent home in Simsbury center in 1962 with the donation of the tavern, barn, and land by the Phelps family.
