I just need time-limited password-protected uploads on a WeTransfer/Zippyshare kind of thing for when I need to share stuff. Basically I do photography as a hobby and I would like to easily share files.

WeTransfer does that as well, you don't need to use its email functionality (Requires WeTransfer Plus though). It'll be interesting to see what their concerns are. Not that I'm trying to defend WeTransfer, but I consider myself to be very strict when it comes to security and I don't really have a problem with it either.

If you're going to upload it, be careful with WeTransfer it has super slow upload speeds from some locations, 1TB would take at least a week to upload from my location. The general consensus is that WeTransfer is great for sending a final edit or other small files but isn't suitable for big transfers like this.

Feb 8, 2016 · I use wetransfer.com for when my clients need to send large files to me. However - I'd love to remove the need for them to enter in email addresses. It would be great for them to visit a page on my site and just drag and drop large files, and maybe do a recapture for verification.

Oct 25, 2020 · Hi everyone We want to stop using WeTransfer for compliance reasons. Do you know if it's possible to set our Synology as an alternative? Ideally like opening a webpage and automatically obtaining a link? Or better having an icon on desktop where to drag files and obtaining a link?
