Copy and paste the text into a file and add the extension ".conf" to it, save it on the desktop of the PC you want to configure. Open the Wireguard app and click add connection from file.

Aug 20, 2023 · Just try it out, it's really simple and nicely integrated into OMV, and chente posted the link to the manual. When abroad and on the phone, first turn on wireguard, and then you can access OMV with the browser via the same IP address. In X-plore you can access the SMB shares under "LAN", after adding the IP address of the OMV server.
Repair OMV installation? - General - openmediavault
Apr 15, 2023 · Settings up OMV is the easy part here, that's why I tried to focus on that, but with current state, I don't think there's much hope as it's too messed up. Setting up a fresh OMV is super easy, I'm just not sure about everything else I have. I did backup all the docker images and settings etc, but I have other stuff that aren't on docker.

Mar 15, 2024 · Thanks for pointing out the "omv-firstaid" command to reset the password. But let's not forget to reset with it the failed login attempt counter also . Coming to OMV while trying Cockpit in parallel I was unaware "admin" was hardcoded in OMV (a bad habit I guess :-P) and that OMV user rights were not really tied to system access rights...

Nov 16, 2019 · OK, I'll run OMV from my USB stick. I was just wondering what recent thoughts were on doing so. Several years ago I had another Linux OS running the server from a USB stick (disabling journaling and setting noatime in .fstab) and there was a long power outage when I wasn't around to shutdown the server properly before the UPS ran out of power, corrupting data on the USB stick.
